From June 2017 buyers will be able to get their hands on the keenly awaited AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ and soon after in December 2017, the AMG E 63 4MATIC+.

Performance of the new models is a seductive factor with the AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ Mercedes is claiming it needs just 3.4 seconds to hit 100 km/h from a standstill with the AMG E 63 4MATIC+ close behind at 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100km/h. This puts both models up there as being among the most powerful production luxury saloons in the world.

Driving these impressive results is the 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine pumping out 450kW and 850Nm (AMG E 63 S) or 420kW and 750Nm (AMG E 63). This is complemented by an all-wheel-drive system which incorporates fully variable torque distribution to the front and rear axles.

To reduce fuel consumption there is also a cylinder deactivation system fitted to the engine.

There is also the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT nine-speed sports transmission combined with a wet start-off clutch which endeavours to provide a more agile response from the vehicle.

Inclusions in the E 63 S 4MATIC+ will consist of 20-inch cross-spoke forged wheels painted in matt black with high-sheen flange, AMG Night Package external styling, AMG electronic rear axle limited slip differential, AMG Performance selectable exhaust system, AMG Performance seats, AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather / DINAMICA microfibre, AMG red-painted brake callipers, active dynamic engine mount, digital TV tuner, upper part of the instrument panel and door beltlines in nappa leather, and wireless charging for selected mobile devices as standard.

Also available will be the Edition 1 package for the E 63 S 4MATIC+ model which includes designo selenite grey magno paintwork, AMG high-performance ceramic composite braking system, AMG side sports decals in matt graphite above AMG side sill panels, black AMG Exclusive Nappa Leather seats with yellow topstitching, AMG Performance steering wheel in DINAMICA microfibre with yellow contrasting topstitching, AMG carbon fibre trim elements, plus subtle yellow highlights, stitching and edging throughout the cabin, all for an additional MRLP of $18,900.

The E 63 4MATIC+ will get 20-inch 5 twin-spoke alloy wheels, AMG mechanical rear axle limited slip differential, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system, AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed sport transmission, AMG-specific analogue clock in IWC design, exterior design elements in chrome and THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control with 3 climate zones as standard.
