The keenly awaited 2017 Skoda Kodiaq seven-seat SUV, due for arrival in Australian showrooms at the end of May, now has a price tag attached.

The new Kodiaq, based on the Volkswagen Tiguan, will initially feature a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine capable of putting out 132kW of power and 320Nm of torque which is matched to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. A 140kW turbocharged diesel engine will eventually be available as well.

Safety technology will be a feature of the new Kodiaq with Front Assist with City Emergency Brake, nine airbags, Passenger Protect Assist, fatigue detection, a tyre pressure monitoring system, fog lights with cornering function, electronically activated Child Safety Lock for the rear doors from the driver position and Multi-Collision Brake all standard.
