BMW has announced a new 620d entry variant will be added to the 6 Series Gran Turismo range before year’s end.

The 620d will bring diesel power to the local range which already includes two petrol units. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel produces 140kW of power and 400Nm of torque, the latter being available from 1750rpm. Power is sent to the rear via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

BMW claims a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds and consumption of 4.9L/100km on a combined cycle.

Full Australian specifications and pricing are still to be confirmed. Stay tuned.
