The 2017 Dubai International Motor Show has been the backdrop for the unveiling of the 2018 Infiniti QX80, the latest interpretation of the full-sized luxury SUV.

Aimed at high-achieving entrepreneurs and leaders who need space and utility, the new QX80 offers technology, safety and performance wrapped in luxury design for the those wanting to burn some cash.

Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President, Global Design said of the QX80, “Infiniti’s design DNA has been scaled up for our largest SUV. The QX80 combines its commanding new presence with powerful muscularity and enhanced horizontal movement. Our designers raised the visual height of our iconic ‘double-arch’ grille and signature headlamps, striking an unrivalled on-road premium tonality.”

With massive proportions coming in at 5,340mm long, 1,925mm to the top of the roof rails high and 2,030mm wide the Infinity QX80 can’t be missed on the road.

Infiniti claims the new QX80 feature a more angular aesthetic for a modern and athletic appearance. New large fender vents, thin strip aluminium under the grille, larger hood edge, raised lower front bumper, new-design headlights, wider aluminium sill step, thinned rear tail-lamps and raised lower rear bumper enhance this visual.

For the larger forged 22-inch wheels a ‘liquid metal’ premium colour with high gloss finish and 18-spoke design is balanced with low-profile 275/50 R22 all-season performance tires.

Moonstone White, Mineral Black and Champagne Quartz join the colour options to bring the total to nine solid, metallic and pearlescent paint finishes on offer which includes Liquid Platinum, Smoky Quartz and Graphite Shadow, Hermosa Blue and Mocha Almond, and Black Obsidian.

The interior sees the cabin finished with a range of new materials with Saddle Brown leather a new option. Wheat or Graphite upholstery colours are available in standard leather or premium semi-aniline leather with contrasting dark grey or medium grey stitching and piping.
