Australian specifications and pricing have been announced for the 2018 Mahindra Pik-Up. The new-generation ute features revised styling, a new interior, new transmission and more power from the turbo diesel engine at a starting price of $21,990 drive-away.

Mahindra has aimed to mesh its tough signature stance with a clean and contemporary design. Changes have occurred in the form of a new glossy black and chrome grille design (S10 Models), new badge design, reshaped lower air intakes, new headlights, new curved LED DRLs (for the S10 Double Cab), bolder fog lamps and static bending lights.
At launch, four exterior paint colours will be available; Arctic White, De-Sat Silver, Napoli Black and Red Rage.
On the inside significant changes have been made to modernise the look and feel of the Pik-Up. Standard equipment includes auto wipers, intelligent headlamps, new upholstery, remote central locking, cruise control, satellite navigation, reversing camera and a multifunction steering wheel.
The S10 dual-cab gets a 6.0-inch full-colour touch screen and automatic climate control.
In terms of safety, the Pik-Up offers Hill Descent Control, ESC, ABS, EBD, Roll-over mitigation, airbags, crash protection crumple zones and a collapsible steering column.
Dual cab variants gain 3-point lap sash seat belts for all seats along with two ISOFIX anchors in the rear seat with three top tether points.
The new Mahindra Pik-Up will feature an updated 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine that uses a variable geometry turbocharger to offer 103kW of power and 330Nm of torque. This is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox.
All variants will be fitted with an Eaton MLD (Mechanical Locking Differential) as standard.
Mahindra backs the new Pick-Up with a 5-year /100,000km warranty and 5-year roadside assistance.
