Pricing for the updated 2019 BMW 7 Series range has been revealed ahead of the June 2019 landing date, the German limo is now priced from $199,900 plus on-road costs.
 
Details for the updated 7 Series were revealed earlier in the year (you can read about them here) with highlights including the new (comically-sized) kidney grille and slim-line headlights, advanced BMW Live Cockpit professional infotainment system with BMW operating system 7.0 displayed on a 12.3-inch freely customisable instrument cluster and 10.25-inch Control Display as standard as well as the comprehensive driver assistance systems including reversing assistant.
 
All models apart from the V12-powered M760Li will also feature the Design Pure Excellence interior package as standard which brings fine brushed aluminium, decorative stitching and detailed wood trims.
 
In addition, the M Sport Package will also be available as a no-cost option and includes 20-inch M light alloy wheels, M-designed front and rear aprons, M Aerodynamics Package, M kidney grille with black and satinised aluminium trims, M tailpipe finishers, illuminated M door sill finishers, M exterior badging, M-specific key and Dark Shadow metallic rear bumper trim.
 
A newly-developed 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine will now power the 750i xDrive offering 60kW more power at 390kW. 750Nm of torque is also available helping to propel the 750i xDrive to 100km/h in only 4.0 seconds from a standstill.
 
Other engines carried over include the 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder diesel offering 195kW/620Nm in the 730d, the 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder petrol offering 250kW/450Nm in the 740i and 740Li and the 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol offering 448kW/850Nm in the M760Li xDrive.
 
A 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine will also be paired with an electric motor to offer a hybrid option. Combined 290kW of power and 600Nm of torque are available with a pure electric range of 40km quoted.
 
The system uses a Type 2 charging port, which allows the battery to be charged via domestic wall socket, compatible public charging stations or BMW i Wallbox Plus.
 
The 2019 BMW 7 Series LCI will be available in Australia from June 2019.
