An expanded and updated model line-up has been announced for the 2019 Hyundai iMax and iLoad range which starts at $43,990 plus on-road costs for the iMax and $38,790 for the iLoad van.

First up in the list of improvements is a revised front end for both the commercial van and the people mover which includes a black bar grille with chrome lip surround and new headlights with automatic dusk sensing. A new front bumper with fog lamps and electric folding mirrors is also found on the iMax.

Also upgraded for both vehicles was the steering column which now has both vertical and horizontal adjustment, the instrument cluster adds a trip computer, a new 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system first seen on the Kona, as well as the cloth interior. Metallic and mica paint is an additional $695.

Introduced to the range for the 2019 model year is the iMax Elite people mover which features a bold grille with chrome bar inserts, new 17-inch alloy wheels, electro-chromatic rear view mirror, beige leather trim, dual sunroofs and heated front seats with the driver’s seat also ventilated.

A 2.5-litre diesel engine will power the range, producing 125kW and 441Nm when paired with the five-speed automatic. Six-speed manual models get outputs of 100kW and 343Nm.

The iMax will now be offered exclusively with a five-speed automatic transmission.
