Lexus Australia has confirmed the RC F Track Edition will be priced from $165,690 plus on-road costs when it arrives Down Under in May.

Originally revealed last year in Detroit, the RC F Track Edition offers “exclusive upgrades designed for hard-core enthusiasts, blending a serious performance car for the track with the luxury and craftsmanship expected of a Lexus.”

Differentiating the Track Edition from the standard RC F is a carbon fibre roof and bonnet, titanium muffler and tailpipes, Brembo carbon-ceramic brake rotors and a raft of styling enhancements that improve aerodynamics and increase downforce.

Other enhancements include stiffer bushings for the rear suspension arms and steering rack mounts. There’s also a bespoke set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres designed specifically for the RC F with a unique profile, tread pattern and rubber compound.

Outputs for the 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 remain the same at 351kW and 530Nm, however, the engine has revised intake routing and a lower rpm trigger point for the secondary intake opening (2800rpm vs 3600rpm). Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Lexus claims the Track Edition is 65kg lighter when compared with the previous RC F meaning it can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds which makes it the fastest Lexus since the LFA.

Four body colours will be available: white nova, sonic titanium, graphite black and matte grey, the latter exclusive to the Track Edition.

On the inside, Lexus has dressed up the Track Edition’s cabin with a red leather interior with Alcantara accents and red carbon trim on the doors and dashboard.

Along with the introduction of the Track Edition, the RC F line-up receives subtle styling changes for 2019 including headlights that now feature stacked LED lights and integrated daytime running lights, a lower lip on the grille, new taillights and a reshaped bumper.

2019 Lexus RC F pricing (excludes on-road costs):

RC F - $134,129
RC F Track Edition - $165,690
