Along with the Levante GTS and Ghibli, the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte has been revealed, the new model year sees the Italian limo get new headlights, exterior colours, interior trim choices and a redesigned gearshift lever.
 
Updated Quattroporte models will include adaptive LED headlights and daytime running lights. The LED headlights also incorporate a front camera for the BiLed Glarfree adaptive high beam function.
 
A unique front grille and side skirts will differentiate the GTS variant from the rest of the range.
 
The standard exterior colours now number 10 with the addition of Rosso Potente and Blu Nobile, while new 20-inch Perseo and 21-inch Atlante wheels join the options list.
 
Internally, the 8.4-inch infotainment system gets updated graphics and improved climate control functions.
 
New full-grain Pieno Fiore natural leather is available in black, red and tan colour to cover both comfort and sports seats, each with its own stitching pattern.
 
Carbon Fibre Twill and Rovere Veneer are the two new high-gloss interior veneers available for the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte.
 
Buyers can option the Nerissimo package which features four new colours (seven in all) and adds black elements (front grille, daylight openings and door mirrors) with LED headlamps and exhaust tips in a dark finish. Dark tail lights, body-colour door handles and new 21-inch wheels with dark finish are also included in the package.
 
Three engine options are available: a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol (390kW/650Nm), 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol (321kW/580Nm or 261kW/500Nm) and a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel (205kW/600Nm).
 
All versions of the Quattroporte are equipped with the same eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and a redesigned gearshift lever. The updated unit uses a dual lane shift pattern translating to a shorter travel and improved operation. A new ā€˜Pā€™ button has been added to the top of the lever to set the transmission in parking mode.
 
Australia specifications and pricing are yet to be revealed for the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte range, more details are expected before the updated model arrives early in 2019.
