The updated 2020 Citroen C3 has been revealed ahead of an Australian arrival later this year.

For 2020, the C3 gets a restyled front end which includes new LED headlights, a larger grille and new chrome finishing strips.

The side Airbumps have been redesigned and now feature a coloured insert determined by the Colour Pack chosen by the customer.

Depending on the variant, there’s also larger alloy wheels (up to 17-inches) and wider wheel arch extensions to emphasise the curved front and rear wings of the car.

Elixir Red and Spring Blue have been added to the exterior palette which lifts the number of colour combinations across the body paint, roof colour and trim options to 97.

On the inside, buyers can option a techwood package which adds a light coloured faux-wood trim across the dashboard strip and the upper part of the seats.

Buyers also get the Advanced Comfort Seats with additional foam from the C5, the brand says the seats provide enhanced comfort, both visually and in terms of posture with a padding graphic effect and lumbar support (adjustable on the driver's side).

Further updates include front parking sensors, and a new ConnectedCam that is automatically activated in the event of an accident, it allows you to save 90 seconds of footage during the incident (30 seconds before and 60 seconds after contact took place).

The ConnectedCam can also capture images or videos (up to 20 seconds) and post them on social media.

Citroen's local arm has confirmed the updated C3 will arrive in Australia in the second half of 2020.
