Three powertrains will be available across the five modes. At the entry-level, the 40 TDI model offers a 150kW/400Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with 12V mild-hybrid tech mated with a seven-speed S tiptronic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Powering the 45 TFSI models is a 183kW/370Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine also with a 12V mild-hybrid system mated with the same seven-speed S tiptronic transmission.

At the top end, the 50 TDI draws power from the 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6 engine with 48V mild-hybrid system to deliver 210kW and 620Nm. It’s mated with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and all-wheel drive. It is also fitted with a self-locking centre differential.
