Australian specs and pricing have been announced for the 2021 Peugeot 2008 ahead of a showroom arrival in December.

At launch, Peugeot will offer two variants: the entry-level Allure and the range-topping GT Sport, with prices starting from $34,990 plus on-road costs. Next year a mid-spec GT model will join the line-up.

The 2008 Allure is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which produces 96kW and 230Nm. It’s matched to a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

GT Sport models use the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, however, it’s tuned to deliver 114kW and 240Nm. It’s paired with a new eight-speed transmission and front-wheel drive.

Standard equipment on the Allure includes 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and start, a 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB+ digital radio, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, speed limit recognition and a driver attention warning.

Stepping up to the GT Sport ($43,990 plus on-roads) adds larger 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, lane-keeping assist, active blind-spot monitoring, Nappa leather trim, 3D navigation, ambient lighting, aluminium pedals, and heated front seats with massage function.

The new Peugeot 2008 is available to order now with deliveries expected to commence from December.
