The new Audi R8 LMS GT3, the fourth model in four years from Audi Sport, has been revealed at the Paris motor show.

Following in the tyre tracks of the 2015 Audi R8 LMS, 2016 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR touring car and the 2017 Audi R8 LMS GT4, the new R8 LMS GT3 will be tailored closely to customer requirements.

Set in endurance racing pedigree, the new R8 LMS GT3 features optimized aerodynamics and cooling for improved consistency across a variety of driving conditions. The durability of the power transmission elements was also a focus.

The R8 LMS GT3 will also benefit from the evolution package with some modifications which mean the service intervals are longer for the clutch and transmission which is a win-win for racing and the back pocket. It can also be retrofitted to the second-generation Audi R8 LMS.

Australian customers are expected to be able to get their hands on the new race cars later this year as well as the evolution kit for retrofitting older model generations.
