Jaguar have announced that following the resounding success of the F-PACE, which recently won 2017 World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year, that they would be adding an all-new compact performance SUV to the line up in the form of the E-PACE.

The E-PACE will join the PACE family which also includes the all-electric I-PACE Concept which is due to start production in 2018. Jaguar are hoping the E-PACE will replicate the F-PACE’s sales performance.

Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, has said of the E-PACE: “The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-PACE stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-PACE will do just that, albeit with its own individual character.”

Containing the Jaguar DNA in a compact package will mean that the E-PACE will feature a performance tuned all-Ingenium line-up of petrol and diesel engines. It will also feature AWD technology as well as the latest technology and safety features buyers have come to value.

With all the latest and greatest design, safety and technology on offer, if early indicative pricing of under $50,000 (excluding on-roads) is to be believed then the new E-PACE will be an enticing offer for those wanting to stand out from the crowd. It will also be Jaguar’s cheapest model and new entry point to the range.

We won’t have to wait too long though as the World Premiere of the Jaguar E-PACE is scheduled for July 13th, 2017.
