Lexus has announced details of the RX Crafted special edition, 300 examples will be available in Australia starting at $81,351.
Based on the Luxury grade, the RX Crafted will only be available in a five-seat configuration. Buyers wanting seven-seats will need to head to the recently launched RX L.
Externally black 20-inch alloy wheels along with black accented grille, fog-lamp bezels, mirror caps and rear bumper will differentiate the RX Crafted from the rest of the line-up.
Internal additions include a moonroof, colour head-up display, 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment screen and a premium 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.
Other cabin highlights include leather trim, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone Lexus Climate Concierge with nano technology, keyless entry and start, power tailgate and wireless phone charging.
Safety is taken care of by way of the Lexus Safety System+ which includes a pre-collision safety system featuring pedestrian detection and autonomous emergency braking. Other safety kit includes radar active cruise control, blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert and reversing camera with rear guide assist.
The RX Crafted also features bi-LED headlights with LED cornering lights, rain-sensing wipers and 10 airbags.
The RX Crafted will be offered with a choice of three powertrains, these being a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (RX300), a 3.5-litre V6 (RX350) and a V6 hybrid (RX450h) producing 175kW, 221kW and combined 230kW respectively.
Lexus Australia chief executive Scott Thompson said the price step for the Lexus RX Crafted was approximately half-way to the F Sport variants that already offer many of the special-edition features as standard.
Pricing will come in with a $7,100 premium over the Luxury grades.
