For the fourth year in a row, premium carmaker Lexus has achieved the highest customer satisfaction in Australia taking out the automotive category ‘Car Manufacturer of the Year’ at the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.

The awards are based on a comprehensive survey of consumer-facing businesses which Lexus scored an overall satisfaction rating of 96.4 per cent. This result was also higher than the best performers from a range of categories which included prominent Australian companies in the areas of retail, finance, telecommunications, utilities, travel and tourism.

Approximately 50,000 customers across Australia participated in a face-to-face interview for the annual Roy Morgan awards. Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said Lexus had consistently set the standard for customer satisfaction through its unwavering dedication to caring for customers.

This latest award adds to the collection Lexus have been accumulating which includes similar accolades for the after-sales service excellence in the J.D. Power Australia Customer Service Index Study which Lexus has been awarded for the past two years.

Lexus Australia chief executive Scott Thompson said the awards were important because they were based on the judgments of Lexus owners.

"Lexus is renowned for producing passenger cars and SUVs that have transformed the prestige vehicle market through an uncompromising focus on quality," Mr Thompson said.

"More than that, these awards confirm that Lexus consistently delivers an exceptional ownership experience by setting new benchmarks in customer service and satisfaction," he said.
