Jaguar has revealed details of the new XF Sportbrake. Order books are open now with the first deliveries expected towards the end of 2017, though pricing has not yet been announced.

The new XF Sportbrake is designed with active lifestyles in mind and features many safety and practicality inclusions whilst retaining the distinctive Jaguar design DNA.

Steven de Ploey, Jaguar’s Global Marketing Strategy and Planning Director said “The XF Sportbrake is the embodiment of everything our brand stands for, bringing Jaguar design and dynamics to create vehicles that excite the senses and support active lifestyles. Its dynamic performance, desirable styling and cutting-edge technologies will introduce a new generation of drivers to Jaguar’s drive, passion and comfort.”

The inside proportions promote a spacious light-filled feeling. This is enhanced by a large panoramic roof which when opened via gesture control system allows light to flood the cabin. Rear passengers will also be more comfortable as knee room and headroom has been improved.

An asset for those with an active lifestyle is the large 565 litres luggage capacity. The tailgate also features gesture opening for added practicality.

Promoting the sporty feel is the inclusion of the newest engine technologies in the form of the Ingenium powertrain. Available in four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel configurations the XF Sportbrake offers a powerful yet efficient ride.

Opening the range is the rear-wheel drive 132kW 2.0 Ingenium diesel with variable geometry turbocharging offering the maximum efficiency. If power if your preference though the 221kW 3.0 V6 turbo diesel engine paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission is the ticket.

Driver assistance and safety systems are included in the new XF Sportbrake, as well as Jaguar’s Driver Condition Monitor. This feature examines a range of inputs to detect signs of drowsiness and warn drivers when a break is needed.

All in all the Jaguar XF Sportbrake is an enticing offer for those with an active lifestyle that want to stand out from the crowd.
