Pricing has been announced for the 2018 Kia Stinger V6 range ahead of the car’s October arrival.

The Kia Stinger aims to provide top-end performance at an affordable price. Starting at $48,990 (all prices exclude on-road costs), buyers can get into a Stinger S. The mid-spec Si comes in at $55,990 and the fully-loaded, top-of-the-line GT will require a cheque for $59,990.

Kia Motors Australia Chief Operating Officer, Damien Meredith said: "From the outset, it was a goal to get a bi-turbo V6 into the market under $50,000. We have done that with room to spare."

Speaking of V6, the Stinger will house a 3.3-litre bi-turbo V6 engine, capable of 272kW of power and 510Nm of torque. 4.9 seconds is reported as the official 0-100km/h sprint time with the assistance of launch control.

Pricing is yet to be released for the 2.0-litre model as it is still being finalised. Mr Meredith stated that the pricing for the 3.3-litre model has been announced to provide confidence to the substantial number of buyers who have put down a deposit without knowing the final price.

More will be known closer to the October arrival of the Kia Stinger.
