Lexus has revealed styling updates for the 2018 CT200h. A more aggressive and purposeful exterior leads the updates with Lexus describing the changes as “a sweeping update that brings sportier styling, interior updates and innovative equipment.”
 
The CT200h's new exterior brings a front mask that gives a masculine appearance.
 
Higher spec models will feature "arrowhead" daytime running lights that are now positioned above the single-projector headlamps.
 
There are new wheel designs that include a 10-spoke 16-inch design that features dark metallic paint with bright machine-finished surfaces.
 
At the rear, new L-shaped LED taillights present a wider appearance.
 
On the inside, the colour palette has been expanded with improved material choices and surface textures are set to elevate the cabin atmosphere.
 
Pleasingly, Lexus will offer plenty of upholstery options include striking two-tone smooth leather accents. There will also be sustainably produced choices such as a mix of fabric and long-wearing synthetic leather.
 
The infotainment screen, featuring the Lexus Navigation System moves to a 10.3-inch.
 
The F Sport variant is differentiated by 17-inch dark metallic alloys, new two-tone exterior paint schemes, black metallic paint for its exclusive mesh-pattern spindle grille, fog lamp inserts and surrounds.
 
All updated Lexus CT200h models will come with the Lexus Safety System+ as standard. The package offers a pre-collision system with autonomous braking, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure warning with steering control and automatic high-beam headlights.
 
No changes to the drivetrain have been announced meaning it will most likely retain the 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 73kW/142Nm and the 60kW electric motor.
 
The updated CT200h will go on sale locally in the fourth quarter of 2017.
