The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti has joined the local range priced from $78,900 plus on-road costs.

For the moment, the Ti will act as the performance variant of the Stelvio range. Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine from the Giulia Veloce producing 206kW and 400Nm. Alfa Romeo is claiming a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.7 seconds.

As with the rest of the Stelvio lineup, drive is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Stelvio Ti comes with KONI Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) while the electronically controlled Alfa Active Suspension (AAS) is available as an option.

Moving up to the Ti also adds a mechanical limited slip differential (LSD) to the rear driveline to better exploit the Stelvio’s rear-drive bias.

All Stelvio models have recently secured a five-star ANCAP safety rating, the Ti comes equipped with autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring.

On the inside, buyers get upgraded sports seats, a 10-speaker audio system along with smartphone mirroring in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
