Australian specs and pricing have been announced for the 2020 Audi TT RS Coupe ahead of a showroom arrival in July.

Priced from $134,900 plus on-road costs, power comes from the outgoing model’s 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder petrol engine which produces 294kW of power and 480Nm of torque.

Drive is sent to Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic.

Audi quotes a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 250km/h, tick the right options and this increases to 280km/h.

The TT RS gets RS sport suspension plus with Audi magnetic ride as standard and rides 10mm lower than the regular Audi TT.

At the front, stopping power comes from red eight-piston calipers that clamp 370mm ventilated discs.

20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/30 rubber, a wider Singleframe grille, larger intakes, Matrix LED headlights, an RS sports exhaust and a fixed rear spoiler distinguish the RS variant from the regular TT.

Further equipment highlights include a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit with unique RS functions, the latest MMI navigation plus system infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 12-speaker 680W Bang & Olufsen audio system.
