Australian specs and pricing have been announced for the 2020 Audi TT and TT S Coupe which now opens at $79,990 plus on-road costs.
 
Prices have risen by over $5000, however, to soften the impact equipment levels have been improved and the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system is standard.
 
The range opens with the TT 45 TFSI quattro ($79,990 plus on-road costs) which gets power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 169kW and 370Nm.
 
Audi claims a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of 5.3 seconds and fuel consumption of 6.6L/100km, on the combined cycle.
 
When compared to the outgoing model, Audi claims the new TT offers more than $5000 worth of additional value.
 
Standard equipment includes LED headlights with dynamic rear indicators, auto-folding exterior mirrors, wireless smartphone charging and a new three-dimensional Singleframe grille.
 
The TT S model ($99,900 plus on-road costs) packs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol tuned to deliver 210kW and 380Nm, the latter is available from 1800pm right through to 5200rpm.
 
According to Audi, the TT S will dash from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds, while fuel economy is listed at 7.0L/100km on the combined cycle.
 
Standard kit includes metallic paint, red brake calipers, heated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery and a 680W 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Audi says the new TT S adds more than $8500 worth of additional value over the previous models.
 
Both models feature blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, progressive steering, and cruise control with a speed limiter.
 
Buyers can option an S line sport package for $7990 on the TT 45 TFSI quattro which adds unique 19-inch alloy wheels, the S line exterior sport package, S sport front seats, aluminium interior accents and an Audi premium sound system.
 
The TT S is available with an S performance package for $4900 which includes Matrix LED headlights, black high-gloss exterior accents, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, park assist and an extended leather package.
 
To spice things up further, new body colours are available, Cosmos Blue, Pulse Orange and Turbo Blue are available for the TT 45 TFSI quattro, while Pulse Orange and Turbo Blue can be optioned on the TT S.
