Bentley has confirmed local specs and pricing for the new Continental GT V8 Coupe and Convertible.

 

Pricing starts from $400,900 plus on-roads for the V8 Coupe, while the Convertible starts from $441,300 plus on-roads.

 

Power comes from an updated 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 which is capable of 405kW of power and 770Nm of torque. The engine features cylinder deactivation technology which can turn off four cylinders depending on the driving situation.

 

An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to a rear-biased all-wheel drive system.

 

Bentley claims each variant can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 318km/h.

 

Standard kit includes 20-inch alloy wheels, quad exhaust pipes, LED Matrix headlamps, heated and vented comfort seats, a heated steering wheel, a 10-speaker audio system and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.

 

Electric power-assisted steering, continuous damping control, Active Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assist and Park Assist are also included as standard.

 

Of course, there will be an extensive options list with Bentley offering a plethora of leather and veneer options to personalise the cabin.

 

The Convertible version gets a tailored roof which takes as little as 19 seconds to deploy and stow at speeds of up to 50km/h. There are also newly designed neckwarmers integrated into the seats.

 

The 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 Coupe and Convertible are available at dealerships now.
