The 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 Coupe and Convertible were revealed overnight ahead of a global launch in the third quarter of 2019.
 
Power comes from an updated 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 which is capable of 405kW of power and 770Nm of torque.
 
Bentley claims the 0-100km/h dash takes 4.0 seconds in the Coupe and 4.1 seconds in the Convertible with a top speed of 318km/h.
 
An active rear-biased, all-wheel drive system, electric power-assisted steering and continuous damping control are all included.
 
Standard kit includes 20-inch alloy wheels, quad exhaust pipes, LED Matrix headlamps, heated and vented Comfort Seats, heated steering wheel, 10-speaker audio system and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
 
Of course, there will be an extensive options list with Bentley offering a plethora of leather and veneer options to personalise the cabin.
 
The Convertible version gets a tailored roof which takes as little as 19 seconds to deploy and stow at speeds of up to 50km/h. There are also newly designed neckwarmers integrated into the seats.
 
Customers in the US will get the new Continental GT V8 in the third quarter of this year, the rest of us will be waiting until the first quarter of 2020.
