Australian specs and pricing have been confirmed for the 2021 Audi SQ2 ahead of a local debut in May.

Audi’s smallest performance SUV is priced from $64,400 before on-road costs.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 221kW and 400Nm. It’s matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Audi claims the SQ2 can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds with the top speed electronically limited to 250km/h.

Standard equipment includes S sport suspension, progressive steering, 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators and quad tailpipes.

On the inside, buyers get sport front seats trimmed in Nappa leather with diamond-patterned stitching, S sport leather steering wheel, a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit, a 705W Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, and an 8.3-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Audi SQ2 is expected to arrive in Australian showrooms in May.
