The updated Audi SQ2 has been revealed overnight ahead of a local arrival around the middle of 2021.

Externally, the new model year is distinguished by revised bumpers and new LED headlights.

Further changes include fresh trim choices for the cabin and the brand’s latest infotainment system with Audi connect services.

The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 221kW and 400Nm has been carried over. It’s matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Audi claims the SQ2 can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds with the top speed electronically limited to 250km/h.

When compared to the regular Q2 range, the SQ2’s sport suspension is lowered by 20mm.

18-inch alloys shod in 235/45 rubber are standard, as are larger 340mm brake discs at the front, and 310mm discs at the rear. Buyers can option larger 19-inch alloys and red calipers.

The updated SQ2 is scheduled to arrive in Australia in mid-2021, full specs and pricing will be confirmed closer to the launch date.
