Another day, another SUV. This time it’s Mazda’s turn, the Japanese brand has released an image of the upcoming CX-8 SUV.
 
At this point, only a profile shot has been made available.
 
There’s no point getting over excited about the CX-8, it’s only for the Japanese market. The CX-9 will remain Mazda’s large offering in Australia. Interestingly, the CX-9 isn’t sold in Japan, despite being manufactured there.
 
From the profile shot, both large Mazda’s look similar. The CX-8 and CX-9 share the same 2930mm wheelbase measurement, but the CX-9 is larger in all other dimensions. The CX-9 is 175mm longer, 129mm wider and 17mm taller than the CX-8.
 
The CX-8 will feature the SKYACTIV-D 2.2L diesel engine instead of the 2.5L petrol from the CX-9.
