The first images of the production version of the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign have been revealed ahead of a public debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

Originally revealed as a concept in 2018, the GT-R50 jointly commemorates the 50th anniversary of both Italdesign and the GT-R in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Limited to just 50 examples globally, the production version looks almost identical to the concept.

Power comes from a hand-built version of Nissan’s 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6, which the brand’s Nismo arm has tuned to produce 530kW of power and 780Nm of torque. For context, the latest GT-R Nismo offers 447kW and 652Nm.

To manage the extra grunt, the car is equipped with an upgraded six-speed dual-clutch transmission, a revised Bilstein suspension damping system and an uprated Brembo braking system.

Each of the 50 examples will be built specifically to each customer’s preferences and is priced from €900,000 (approximately 1.5 million local dollars).

According to Nissan, a significant number of deposits have already been taken, however, a limited number of reservations remain available.

Subject to certification and homologation in all relevant markets, customers can expect to take delivery of their GT-R50 by Italdesign sometime between late 2020 and the end of 2021.
