Nissan Australia has announced specs and pricing for the 2020 GT-R range headlined by the addition of a special 50th Anniversary variant.

Based on the Premium Luxury model, the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition ($209,300 plus on-road costs) will be available in three colours combinations, Silver with white stripes, Ivory Pearl with red stripes and the new Bayside Blue with white stripes. It will also feature 50th Anniversary badging on the boot lid and on the alloy wheels.

Internally the 50th Edition will feature an exclusive two-tone leather trim called Twilight Grey, as well as 50th Anniversary badging on the seats, centre console, tachometer and kick plates.

Moving to the wider range, Premium, Premium Luxury and Track Edition variants get redesigned front fog lights, a blue exhaust tip and the lightest R35 wheels ever offered.

There’s also a new Bayside Blue exterior paint option.

Internally the GT-R will feature satellite navigation with 3D mapping displayed on an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, a display commander control, heated seats, intelligent key with push-button start, Bluetooth, an 11-speaker Bose premium audio system, a rear-view camera and parking sensors at the front and rear.

There will also be a new Urban Grey interior colour for the Premium Luxury model and updated Recaro seats for the Track Edition with the Nismo interior option box ticked.

All GT-R models will remain powered by the 3.8-litre V6 engine which develops 419kW and 632Nm. In the Nismo version, the engine is tuned to deliver 441kW and 652Nm. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic sends power to the rear wheels.

Nissan says improvements to the powerplant include updated turbochargers with abradable seals, this will help reduce the compressor housing-blade clearance to reduce air leakage and improve response at low revs. In addition to this the electronically controlled suspension and steering angle have also been recalibrated.

The 2020 Nissan GT-R range is on sale in dealerships now.
