The 2018 BMW M4 GT4 will make its customer racing debut with the Securtal Sorg Rennsport and 3Y Technology teams at the 24 Hours of Dubai (UAE).

With the race held from the 10th to 13th of January 2018, this will be the first time the BMW M4 GT4 will take its place on the grid. A specific BMW M235i Racing Cup class will also be featured in Dubai.

The first time the BMW M4 GT4 will race on Australian soil though will be in the prestigious 12-hour race at Bathurst.

Australian touring car legend Tony Longhurst will compete in the race with the nephew of three-time Formula 1 world champion Jack Brabham, Matt Brabham racing alongside Aaron Seton as well.

Brabham will continue the family racing tradition around the Mount Panorama Circuit following in the gear-shifts of not only his father, Geoff Brabham but also his grandfather Jack.

Both men stood on the winner’s podium with Geoff claiming his 1997 victory behind the wheel of a BMW which Matt will be hoping to replicate with the BMW M4 GT4 racer.

The BMW M4 GT4 will also debut in the European racing season starting from May 4th to 6th with the finale from October 12th to 14th which will again be hosted at Hockenheim (GER) with each event still featuring two races.

The DTM diary has been expanded for 2018, joining the racing calendar are Misano (ITA) and Brands Hatch (GBR) events.

Racing will also be held at Lausitzring (GER), Budapest (HUN), the Norisring (GER), Zandvoort (NED), the Nürburgring (GER) and Spielberg (AUT) meaning five rounds being held in Germany with the remaining five rounds in European countries.
