Honda have announced details for the 2018 Model Year City.

The compact sedan will arrive in April with styling and equipment upgrades.

All 2018 MY City variants gain a new front fascia design, incorporating LED daytime running lights (DRL). There is also a redesigned front bumper, grille and headlights.

There are new wheel trims on the VTi and new multi-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels on the VTi-L.

Brilliant Sporty Blue metallic and Crystal Black pearlescent exterior colours have been discontinued. To pick up the slack, a new metallic paint colour called Cosmic Blue is available.

The interior of all City models receives a seven-inch touchscreen audio system.

The top end VTi-L now has standard satellite navigation and leather seat trim.

Despite the increases in equipment, pricing has remained stable. The VTi model has had no price change, while the VTi-L has had a modest rise of $200. Honda claim the upgrades have provide over $2000 worth of additional value to customers.

With this in mind, the Honda City remains a strong value for money proposition.

2018 Honda City pricing (excludes on-road costs)

VTi – $15,990/$17,990 (manual/CVT)
VTi-L – $21,590 (CVT)
