The 2018 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has been revealed, local pricing for the plug-in hybrid starts at $135,600 plus on-road costs with deliveries to start in the third quarter of 2018.
 
Powering the Cayenne E-Hybrid is a 3.0-litre V6 engine and an electric motor that combine to produce 340kW of power and 700Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
 
The Cayenne’s hybrid powertrain enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 253 km/h. Porsche is claiming an electric driving range of 44km and an EV top speed of 135 km/h.
 
The battery capacity has increased from 10.8 to 14.1kWh which can be charged within 7.8 hours via a 10A 230-volt connection. There is an optional 7.2kW on-board charger that can lower the charging time to 2.3 hours when hooked up to a 32A 230 volt connection.
 
Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is fitted as standard with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) available as an option.
 
In a first for Porsche, a head-up display is available. Other optional equipment includes adaptive cruise control including emergency stop function, warn and brake assist function including Porsche Active Safe, massage seats, a heated windscreen and 22-inch light alloy wheels.
 
Australian Cayenne E-Hybrid models will get surround view, privacy glass, auto-dimming exterior and interior mirrors, rear side airbags, lane change assist, Comfort Memory Package and DAB+ digital radio as standard.
