Local details for the 2019 Audi A7 Sportback have been announced, the four-door coupe is set to reach Australia in November priced from $131,900 plus on-road costs.
 
The new model year sees the A7 Sportback adopt a more aggressive style with a wider three-dimensional Singleframe grille, HD Matrix LED headlights with their own distinctive light signature and large air intakes on each side of the grille. 20-inch alloy wheels with a five-double spoke V design will complete the look.
 
Inside, the A7 gets a new MMI touch response system,  heated front Sport seats covered in Valcona leather (electronically adjustable and driver memory function), virtual cockpit, three-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.
 
Buyers can also option S line packages to further dress the interior and exterior.  
 
Safety kit includes a head-up display, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go and traffic jam assist, 360-degree camera system, Audi pre-sense front and pre-sense rear, Audi active lane assist and Audi side assist with cross-traffic assist. That’s a lot of assistance.
 
Two drivetrains will be available, one petrol and one diesel option. Firstly the A7 55TFSI uses a 3.0-litre 205kW/500Nm V6 mated with a seven-speed S tronic transmission, while the 50TDI gets a 3.0-litre V6 developing 210kW and 600Nm with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. Both variants feature Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
 
A new 48-volt mild-hybrid system allows the A7 to coast at speeds between 55 and 160km/h with the engine off, power recuperation of up to 12kW under braking and start-stop operation from 22km/h.
 
An entry-level four-cylinder 45TFSI producing 180kW and 370Nm will join the range in 2019.
