Australian specifications and pricing for the 2019 Ford Endura have been confirmed, the diesel-powered SUV will arrive in showrooms from December with prices starting at $44,990 plus on-road costs.

 

Ford will offer the Endura in three specifications levels: Trend, ST-Line and Titanium. Each spec is available with front or all-wheel drive.

 

All variants will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine developing 140kW of power and 400Nm of torque, it’s matched with an eight-speed torque converter automatic.

 

Towing enthusiasts should note, the Endura is rated to tow 2000kg, well below what is now considered the benchmark.

 

The Endura’s 4775mm length allows for a sizable 2849mm wheelbase which makes it comparable to the old Territory, though the Endura is only a five-seater. Ford claims 800 litres of cargo space is available behind the second-row.

 

All models get a Sync 3 powered infotainment system with built-in sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

 

Standard safety kit includes autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition.
