Italian luxury marque Maserati has revealed the Ghibli Scatenato limited-edition, only 20 examples are coming to Australia priced from $154,990 drive-away.

The Ghibli Scatenato (apparently, it’s Italian for unleash) is powered by a Maserati designed, Ferrari built 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 engine that produces 261kW. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

Maserati is quoting a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 267km/h. Fuel consumption on the combined cycle is rated at an optimistic 11L/100km.

Exterior upgrades consist of 21-inch Titano forged alloy wheels and brake calipers finished in Maserati Blue.

The inside gets wrap-around sports seats which are electronically-adjustable with memory function and heating. There’s also a new Maserati sports steering wheel and piano black trim on the dash and centre console.

In terms of safety, the Scatenato comes standard with traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring and active cruise control.

The Ghibli Scatenato is available to order now, the 20 units heading to Australia are priced at $154,990 drive-away.
