Mercedes-Benz has revealed the X350d Edition 1, the brand’s first special edition X-Class ute.
 
Based on the X350d Power variant, buyers will need to part with $87,500 plus on-road costs to park an Edition 1 in their driveway which represents a premium of just over $8000.
 
The Edition 1 will be distinguished by a black radiator grille, sports bar, bumper trim, fog light surrounds, door handles, rear tailgate handle, nomenclature badges, beltline trim strip, roof rails and 19-inch alloy wheels.
 
A hard tonneau cover, tub liner, tubed side steps and a series of decals on the bonnet, side mirrors, V6 badge surrounds, lower doors and rear tailgate are also included.
 
Buyers can choose from three exterior metallic paint finishes - kabara black, bering white or rock grey.
 
The cabin gets leather seat trim, rear privacy glass, an electric rear windowpane, a chrome Edition 1 badge on the passenger side of the dash and floor mats with Edition 1 embroidery.
 
The 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine producing 190kW and 550Nm is carried over. A seven-speed automatic sends drive to the brand’s 4Matic all-wheel drive system with low range gearing.
 
The X350d Edition 1 will be on sale locally from July.
