Local specs and pricing have been confirmed for the 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback range which is available now from $49,990 plus on-road costs.
 
The range opens with the 35 TFSI S line (from $49,990 plus on-road costs), which is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110kW and 250Nm. It’s paired with a six-speed S tronic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.
 
Audi claims the 35 TFSI S line can sprint from 0-100km/h in 9.3 seconds and consumes 7.3L/100km on the combined cycle.
 
Standard equipment includes an S line exterior styling pack, 19-inch alloy wheels, leather trim, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, wireless smartphone charging, USB-A and USB-C charging points, the virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, DAB+ digital radio and wireless Apple Carplay.
 
In terms of safety, autonomous emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane change warning, rear cross-traffic assist, tyre pressure monitors, hill descent control, six airbags, parking sensors and a rear-view camera are all standard. ANCAP has awarded the Q3 Sportback a five-star safety rating.
 
A special 35 TFSI Launch Edition will also be available from $56,450 plus on-roads. Extra kit includes metallic paint, privacy glass, a black exterior styling package, folding/heated exterior mirrors, an upgraded Audi sound system, auto-dimming interior mirror, an interior ambient lighting package, electric front seats with heating and lumbar support, a 360-degree parking camera, and adaptive cruise assist with active lane assist and emergency assist.
 
The range-topping 40 TFSI quattro S line model (from $61,900 plus on-roads) is powered by a 132kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It’s matched to a seven-speed S tronic transmission that drives all four wheels.
 
According to Audi, the 40 TFSI quattro reaches 100km/h from rest in 7.8 seconds and drinks 8.3L/100km on the combined cycle.
 
Additional standard equipment over the entry-model includes 20-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, a 360-degree camera system, exterior mirrors with heating, auto-dimming and folding, park assist, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise assist, virtual cockpit plus with a 12.3-inch screen, a 10 speaker Audi sound system, S line interior trims, a flat-bottom steering wheel, heated front seats with electric lumbar support and an auto-dimming interior mirror.
