Specs and pricing for the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross range have been announced headlined by a styling tweak and the option of all-wheel drive for the LS grade.

Mitsubishi has carried over the familiar ES, LS, Exceed and Black Edition trim levels for the 2020 model year.

Kicking off the changes is the addition of all-wheel drive to the mid-range LS variant. Previously, only the range-topping Exceed model offered AWD.

While on the Exceed, it gets revised front door trims with illumination and a black headlining.

In addition to the front skid plate, black front bumper, radiator grille, spoiler and a black interior, the cleverly named Black Edition now includes rain-sensing wipers, dusk-sensing headlamps with auto high-beam, fog lamps and forward collision mitigation.

The Black Edition is available in four exterior colours: Starlight, Black, Red Diamond and Titanium.

The wider range is available in White, Starlight, Sterling Silver, Titanium, Black, Lightning Blue and Red Diamond with pearlescent paints adding $690 to the price tag (free on Black Edition) or $890 for prestige paint ($300 for Black Edition).

Power will continue to come from the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine offering 110kW and 250Nm mated with a CVT automatic for the entire range.

The updated Eclipse Cross range is available at Mitsubishi dealerships now starting at $29,990 plus on-road costs.

ES 2WD CVT - $29,990
