Specs and pricing have been revealed for the 2021 Genesis GV70 SUV giving the fledgeling luxury marque a rival to the popular BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
 
The GV70 is priced from $66,400 to $83,400 before on-road costs are applied. As with the flagship GV80, buyers can option a Luxury Package on all models. A Sport Package is also available on all four-cylinder variants and standard on the 3.5T Sport AWD.
 
Opening the range is the GV70 2.5T which uses a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine to produce 224kW of power and 422Nm of torque. It’s available in rear- and all-wheel drive configurations.
 
There’s also a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine developing 154kW and 440Nm. The oiler is exclusively AWD, as is the range-topping 279kW/530Nm 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 petrol.
 
Every GV70 model features an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
 
Dimensionally, the GV70 measures 4715mm long, 1910mm wide and 1630mm tall, with a 2875mm wheelbase.
 
Behind the second row, there’s 542L of cargo space, increasing to 1678L when the rear seats are folded.
 
For those with something to tow, the braked towing capacity is 2200kg across the range.
