Following the release of the new H6, Haval has confirmed launch pricing for the Jolion SUV which takes over from the H2.

Initially, Haval will offer the Lux and Ultra varinats as special Launch Editions limited to 300 units nationally.

While riding on the same underpinnings as the new H6, the Jolion slots underneath its mid-sized sibling to compete with models like the Kia Seltos, MG ZS and Mazda CX-30.

Pricing for the Lux LE starts at $27,990 drive-away and runs to $30,990 drive-away for the Ultra LE.

Both Jolion variants are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 110kW and 210Nm. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends drive to the front wheels.

Dimensionally, the Jolion is larger than the H2 it replaces. The new car measures 4472mm long, 1841mm wide and 1574mm tall, with a 2700mm wheelbase.

Compared to the H2, the Jolion is 107mm longer, 136mm taller and 27mm wider than the current H2, with a 140mm longer wheelbase. The change in dimensions puts it closer to mid-sized rivals.

The first examples of the new Jolion are making their way to showrooms around the country.
