Specs and pricing have been announced for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade which is available to order now from $60,000 plus on-road costs.
 
Hyundai’s largest SUV measures in at 4980mm long, 1975mm wide and 1750mm high. The wheelbase is 2900mm. For context, the Palisade is 210mm longer and 85mm wider than the Santa Fe.
 
At launch, Hyundai will offer two trim levels: the eight-seater Palisade and the range-topping Palisade Highlander which buyers can have in seven or eight-seat configurations.
 
Each grade will have a choice of powertrains beginning with a 217kW/355Nm 3.8-litre petrol V6 matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
 
There’s also a 147kW/440Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel unit, it’s also paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission but adds all-wheel drive.
 
Standard equipment includes alloy wheels, leather seat trim, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Infinity premium audio system, autonomous emergency braking, seven USB ports and 16 cupholders.
