Australian specs and pricing have been announced for the 2021 Hyundai Sonata ahead of a showroom arrival towards the middle of the year.
 
The coupe-like Sonata will only be available in the sporty N Line specification priced from $50,990 plus on-road costs.
 
Under the bonnet is a new Smartstream 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 213kW of power and 422Nm of torque. It’s mated to a new wet-type eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
 
Design highlights include LED headlights, daytime running lights and taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels and an N Line body kit.
 
Internally, the Sonata features a suede and Nappa leather trim, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, surround-view monitor, wireless smartphone charging and satellite navigation.
  
There are also heated and ventilated, power-adjustable front seats, heated outboard rear seats, dual-zone climate control, N Line badging, and a panoramic glass sunroof.
 
The SmartSense safety suite is also included which brings forward collision-avoidance assist with junction turning assist function, driver attention warning and blind-spot collision avoidance-assist systems. Rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist and lane following assist systems, and smart cruise control with stop & go are also standard.
 
Four paint finish options will be available with White Cream Mica standard and Hampton Grey Metallic, Flame Red Metallic and Midnight Black Mica attracting a $595 premium.
 
The 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line is available to order now with delivers set to commence towards the middle of the year.
