Kia Australia has announced drive-away pricing for the new 2021 Carnival people mover.

The fourth-generation Carnival will be available in four specification levels: S, Si, SLi and Platinum with both petrol and diesel engines.

Pricing starts at $50,390 drive-away for the Carnival S petrol and tops out at $69,990 drive-away for the Platinum diesel.

Petrol buyers get a new 3.5-litre naturally-aspirated V6 engine producing 216kW of power and 355Nm of torque. When compared to the outgoing 3.3-litre V6 it develops an extra 10kW and 19Nm.

Diesel variants are powered by the updated 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo unit that offers 148kW of power and 440Nm of torque.

Both engines are matched to the brand’s new in-house eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Dimensionally, the new Carnival measures in at 5155mm long, 1995mm wide and 1740mm tall, with a 3090mm wheelbase. The new model is 40mm longer, 10mm wider and 30mm longer in wheelbase when compared to its predecessor.

Full specifications and equipment highlights for the 2021 Kia Carnival will be published on Friday.
