Renault Australia has announced the 2021 Megane range will be trimmed to one variant.

For 2021, the Megane will only be available in R.S. Trophy guise priced from $53,990 plus on-road costs for the manual or $56,990 plus on-roads for the dual-clutch automatic.

Power will come from the 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine developing 224kW of power and 420Nm of torque. It’s mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Upgrades to the R.S. Trophy include low-speed autonomous emergency braking system, a 10-inch driver display (up from 7.0-inch), a 9.3-inch portrait infotainment touchscreen (up from 8.7-inch), and a new shark-fin style antenna.

There is also an optional panoramic sunroof and a performance package complete with Recaro seats and Fuji lightweight alloy wheels available.

The 2021 Renault Megane R.S. Trophy is expected to arrive locally in March.
