Audi has confirmed specs and pricing for its new coupe-styled Q5 Sportback ahead of its arrival in August.
The Audi Q5 Sportback starts from $77,700 plus on-roads and will compete against the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
At launch, Audi will offer three grades all of which will come equipped with an S line package as standard.
The entry-level 40 TDI uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with a 12V mild-hybrid system to produce 150kW of power and 400Nm of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to the quattro all-wheel drive system.
Audi claims the 40 TDI can sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The 45 TFSI is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 12V mild-hybrid system to develop 183kW and 370Nm. It also gets a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
With petrol power, the 0-100km/h dash is reduced to 6.3 seconds.
The flagship SQ5 features a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine augmented by mild-hybrid tech to produce 251kW of power and 700Nm of torque. It’s matched with an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system.
Put the foot down and the SQ5 can hit 100km/h from a standing start in 5.1 seconds.
Dimensionally, the Q5 Sportback measures 4689mm long, 1893mm wide and 1660mm tall. The SQ5 is slightly lower at 1633mm tall.
Behind the rear seats, there’s 510L of luggage space.
