Isuzu has announced specs and pricing for the expanded 2022 D-Max ute range.

The new model year brings a new engine option, trim level and body styles designed to widen the ute’s appeal to fleet buyers.

Opening the updated range is a 4×2 SX Cab Chassis powered by a 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine.

The SX grade is now offered as a Space Cab Chassis, while the LS-M and LS-U are now available in Crew Cab Chassis guise with the option of steel or alloy trays.

At the business end of the range, a new LS-U+ model will sit between the LS-U and the X-Terrain.

Scroll below for each grade’s equipment highlights.

The new 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine develops 110kW of power and 350Nm of torque. It’s offered with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Power in the wider range continues to come from the 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque. Some variants can be purchased with a six-speed manual, while the automatic is available across the range.

Buyers opting for the 1.9-litre engine should note the braked towing capacity is 2800kg for the manual and 3000kg for the automatic. Unbraked towing capacity is 750kg.

Isuzu says the new range will arrive locally in the first quarter of 2022.
