Detailed renderings of the Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato were released overnight, well ahead of the first customer deliveries in quarter four of 2020.

Styled by Italian design house Zagato, the DBS GT Zagato features the iconic double-bubble roof, wrap-around windscreen, a full-width grille, muscular rear haunches along with bespoke headlamps and wheels.

The roof is the most striking element of the renderings, it stretches the full length of the canopy to deliver “a clean and sculptural form that flows from the top of the front windscreen to the car’s rearmost tip, discarding the traditional rear windscreen in favour of a purer roofline.”

Aston Martin is yet to reveal the powertrain details, we can speculate the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 from the Superleggera is a likely candidate, in that application, it produces 533kW and 900Nm.

Only 19 examples of the DBS GT Zagato will be produced and are paired with a DB4 GT Zagato Continuation. The two-pack is priced at a whopping £6 million ($11.3 million) before the associated on-road costs.

First deliveries of the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation will begin in quarter four 2019, while the wait for a DBS GT Zagato will stretch till quarter four 2020.
