The Citroen 19_19 concept has been revealed ahead of a public debut at VivaTech in Paris later this week.

Aside from celebrating the brand’s centenary, Citroen says the concept showcases its “vision of ultra-comfort and extended mobility to escape from the cities.”

Dimensionally, the 19_19 comes in at 4655mm long, 2240mm wide and 1600mm high with a 3100mm wheelbase.

Design-wise, the concept is said to resemble “the fuselage of an aircraft and the transparent bubble of a helicopter.”

According to the press release, the concept can deliver a “true magic carpet ride” thanks to a suspended cabin equipped with suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions. It’s a remarkable statement considering the car rides on 30-inch wheels, with a diameter of 930mm and shod with 255/30 R30 tyres.

Autonomous driving technologies and a proactive personal assistant that interacts unprompted with the passengers is included.

The all-wheel drive 19_19 is a fully-electric model that uses a 100kWh battery pack to drive an electric motor on each axle that produces 340kW of power and 800Nm of torque. Using the WLTP cycle the driving range is listed at 800km.

Citroen claims the 0-100km/h dash takes 5.0 seconds with a top speed of 200km/h.

The concept is fitted with wireless charging, and a fast charger capable of boosting range by 595km in 20 minutes.
