Honda Australia has announced a set of motorsport-inspired forged alloy wheels and a range of carbon-fibre accessories for the Civic Type R hot hatch.
With a focus on minimal weight and maximum performance, the new accessory range for the Civic Type R, which is available from Honda dealerships nationally from October 1, 2018, features a selection of parts which have been brought to the Australian market in restricted numbers to ensure exclusivity and individuality for dedicated owners.
Honda Australia Director, Mr Stephen Collins said: “We believe there is a niche market for bespoke, low volume items that will appeal to motoring enthusiasts and it is very important for us to support these customers with the very best that Honda globally has to offer.”
Sold exclusively through the Honda Australia dealer network, the six-part accessory range will be covered by local warranty cover and installed by qualified technicians at the dealership.
The new accessory range includes white 20-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels, a carbon-fibre wing spoiler with unique red weave integrated into the surface carbon layer, along with carbon-fibre rear diffuser garnish, and mirror caps.
Inside, there’s a range of carbon-fibre garnishes available that cover parts of the dash, door cards, gear shifter surround and door sills.
Interested buyers should bring a chunky wallet, ticking every box adds a sizeable $23,494 to the base price of the Type R, taking the total spend to $74,484 plus on-road costs. Ouch!
