HSV has confirmed the power and torque figures for the recently revealed Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
 
The ZL1’s 6.2-litre supercharged V8 will develop 477kW of power and a whopping 881Nm of torque. All of that oomph will go the rear wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission, a 10-speed automatic is available as an option.
 
We are still to learn how quickly the car can accelerate to triple figures from a standstill.

HSV has started remanufacturing the ZL1 from left- to right-hand-drive at the company’s facility in Clayton, Victoria. HSV has stated approximately 300 Camaro ZL1s will be available in 2019.
 
Converting the car isn’t a cheap exercise, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 starts from $159,990 plus on-road costs.
